My name is Victoria (or Tori, I've never really had a preference). I was born and raised in Colorado and am proud to live here, though I do plan to travel and live in Boston for a while.
I have always taken a strong interest in art and I really started to get into it in middle school, although I hope that I have improved a bit since then. My mother, Lola Montejo-Crowley is my inspiration. I love her artwork and I love her as a person, she is by far my hero in life. It's a little odd because she is more of an abstract/non-representative oil-painter, whereas I lean more towards realistic with mainly charcoal and graphite as my mediums. Nonetheless, we work well together, share similar views of aesthetics, and we both love what we do.
Lately, I have also gotten into metal work, so that is going to be the focus of my art for probably the next few years. I'm really excited to see where my welding will take me. I have been learning as much as I possibly can for the past for years and have obtained many different forms of certifications in welding. My goal is to use many different techniques and forms to create work different from anything already out there.
